Snoot Up’s Sustainable Packaging: A Commitment to the Planet
At Snoot Up, we believe that every decision matters when it comes to protecting the environment. From creating durable, high-quality products for your furry companions so that they last you years and don't need frequent replacements to ensuring our packaging is the most sustainable we can find, we put careful thought into every decision we make.
To deliver your favourite Snoot Up products in a way that reflects our commitment to the planet, we’ve intriduced No Issue and Better Packaging Co. into our packaging lineup. Here’s why we’ve made these choices and what they mean for you and the environment.
No Issue: Stylish and Sustainable Packaging
No Issue specialises in sustainable, customizable packaging made with the planet in mind. With their help, we’ve created packaging that not only looks great but minimises environmental impact.

Why We Love No Issue
No Issue Tissue Paper: No Issue Tissue Paper uses sustainable soy-based inks on FSC-Certified paper (with a guaranteed minimum 30% recycled material and 70% new acid-free virgin pulp). It is recyclable in your Yellow Lid Bin (Australia), but even better, it will fully break down in a home compost system within 180 days, gifting nutrients back to the earth.
No Issue Labels: we chose these are non-toxic adhesive labels because they are completely compost-friendly. They are made from acid-free paper - made from cellulose fibre, meaning the active acid pulp is eliminated during processing / Lignin- and sulfur-free Pulp - meaning ink won't transfer from stickers and the paper won't leave chemicals when decomposing. How marvellous is that? On our side, the release liner (from the sticker roll) is curbside recyclable so we will always place it in our Yellow Lid Bin.
No Issue Cards: Unlike most cards on the market, these use a light soy varnish to protect the prints instead of a silicone/plastic coating - enabling them to be composted or recycled easily after they have fulfilled their purpose. No Issue uses soy or water-based ink on certified 100% Recycled Uncoated Paper / FSC Mix Uncoated Paper.
Carbon Neutral Shipping: No Issue offsets the carbon emissions from production and shipping, which is a little extra effort we appreciate.
Pretty Finishes: We’ve infused our brand identity into the packaging to make your unboxing experience just a little more special. At the same time, we chose to limit just how much packaging you receive by using the smallest sizes or options available and using the least material possible, so you will never get this:

Better Packaging Co.: %100 post-consumer plastic
We picked the POLLAST!C Poly Mailers and Reusable Carrier Bags, as an alternative to virgin plastic packaging. We know it's still plastic, but we are on a journey and celebrating every small step towards improving our sustainability efforts.
Why We Chose Better Packaging Co.
Certified Material: Inks, colourants and seals aside, the Better Packaging bags are made from certified 100% recycled Ocean-Bound plastic. The POLLAST!C Project recycles plastic waste collected by a network of individuals from coastal communities in Southeast Asia, regions with no formal waste management infrastructure responsible for most of the world’s ocean plastic. Most importantly, the sourced material is traceable. Mobile-phone-enabled, blockchain technology tracks every aspect of the plastic collection process, so we know it's not virgin plastic disguised as ocean-bound waste.
BSCI Certified: Better Packaging Co. POLLAST!C bags are manufactured in BSCI CERTIFIED production facilities.
Designed for Recyclability: The Carrier Bag is designed to be recycled with soft plastics (before you blow up about REDcycle, continue to read the below).
Actively Making A Difference: in addition to their coastal work, the people at Better Packaging Co. trump industry action. They are members of/certified/involved in all of many programs/associations/certifications.

It's In Your Hands After It Leaves Ours
By choosing Snoot Up, you’re joining us in making a difference. Here’s how you can extend the impact:
Reuse it: Many No Issue products are sturdy enough to be reused for storage, gifting, or crafts. the POLLAS!C Poly Mailers and Reusable Carry Bags can also be reused (Reusable Carry Bags are 75 microns thick so they meet the Australian requirements for a reusable bag and are not subject to the plastic bag ban). A clever tip to reuse a mailer: open the mailer bag with scissors, place the item inside, fold over the raw edges, and secure it with packing tape. Then, attach a shipping label and mail it (the No Issue mailers have this is a built-in feature.. we might need to suggest the same to Better Packaging Co.!)! Keep your No Issue tissue paper to pack fragile gifts or stuff in your shoes to keep their shape.
Recycle it: Give our packaging a second life or dispose of it responsibly. Check your local guidelines to ensure proper disposal. Your council's website will tell you what the local Resource Recovery/Community Recycling Centre accepts (in Australia). Better Packaging Co. Despite the end of REDcycle in Australia, you can still use RecycleSmart for doorstep collections (which some councils subsidise), via the RecycleSmart app for iOS or Google Play. And while soft plastics sadly have no place in the Yellow Lid Bin (yet???), we have recyclers that process them onshore!
Compost it: No Issue tissue paper will fully break down in a home compost system within 180 days, gifting nutrients back to the earth.
Spread Awareness: Share your Snoot Up experience and encourage others to choose sustainable products that last, instead of what's trending.
Take Care of Your Gear: Plan by choosing sizing that will grow with your dog or buy second-hand. Take care of your gear to avoid unnecessary damage. Consider donating puppy-size gear to someone who will appreciate the gesture to support reuse.
To Wrap This Up
By partnering with No Issue and Better Packaging Co., we’re proud to offer packaging as thoughtful as the products inside - and we promise we won't stop there. We are looking into seaweed-based packaging and other fully compostable options.
Thank you for supporting our small business and joining us in making choices that benefit our planet and future.
